"St. Climent Ohridski"
Modern Greek Philology was founded in the academical year 1992/1993 with a decision from the academical council of Sofia University "St. Climent Ohridski" and the Ministry of Education. The Curriculum includes more than 1500 hours of practical stydies of the language background begining from zero level of knowledge with 120 hours of intensive beginner course. In the Curriculum are also included courses in: Ancient Greek and Byzantine culture, literature, language and authors, common language studies, modern greek theorethical grammar, modern greek dialectology, translation theory, Ancient Greek, Byzantine and Modern Greek history. Special attention has been paid to the contemporary terminology of all language areas.
This site is completely a student project. We intend in the near future to update its English version to the extent of its Bulgarian and Greek analogies. Till then you can visit our forum where we discuss everything that concerns the students of Modern Greek Philology.
